Lala Peel

What is a Lala peel?

Many individuals have undergone puberty once in their life. It pertains to the transition from adolescence to teenagerhood through physical and hormonal changes. The changes include in this process are hair growth in intimate areas, body odor, excess sebum production, weight gain, height gain, and more. However, these changes may prove to be difficult for some to overcome because some still suffer from the aftermath of this phase until their early twenties. Hence, many individuals prefer having it treated at a dermatological clinic, like the AMOA640 Skin Clinic for safety purposes.

At the clinic, we offer plenty of chemical peeling treatments, one of which is the Lala peel. Lala peel or Lhala peel is a facial peeling treatment containing LHA or Lipohydroxy Acid, hence the name. Lipohydroxy Acid (LHA) is a derivative of salicylic acid (BHA) –also known as capryloyl salicylic acid. It is a substantial component among skincare products to help achieve the perfect Korean Glass skin. You may see it in many skincare products’ ingredients, specifically toners, spot treatments, creams, and cleansers. However, Lipohydroxy Acid (LHA) is slightly different from salicylic acid, albeit both are known to offer chemical exfoliation. Both substances are lipophilic or dissolvable in oils, fats, and lipids, but LHA is more lipophilic, which makes it gentler because it has a slower chemical activity once it comes into contact with the skin. In other words, LHA is derived from salicylic acid, but FDA regards Lipohydroxy Acid (LHA) as a gentler and milder variant. Unlike other acids in chemical peels, the Lipohydroxy Acid (LHA) –found in the Lala Peel treatment has a pH level that matches the normal skin: 5.5. With this, the Lala Peel treatment is an excellent facial procedure for all skin types and tones. It is a treatment highly advisable for individuals with oil, acne-prone, sensitive, and photoaged skin.

The treatment helps remove dead skin cells in the outermost layer of the skin gently, unlike the usual harsh mechanisms of other chemical exfoliants. Moreover, Lipohydroxy Acid (LHA) has a larger structure than other acids, resulting in slower penetration that allows mild skin exfoliation and makes it less painful and irritable to patients. Its forte focuses on unclogging pores, gentle exfoliation, acne formation prevention, and leveling out the skin tone. So, you may use the Lala peel treatment as a monthly skincare routine.

How does Lala peel work?

Lala peel is the fourth generation of chemical peels in Korea that comprises Lipohydroxy Acid (LHA) and alkaline ingredients. It works by neutralizing and dissolving the dead cells on the surface through the alkalinity of the ingredients found in it. Then, it gradually penetrates the deep layers of the skin to improve its barrier, alleviate its pigmentation, and aid in skin whitening, rejuvenation, and brightening and tightening.

The LHA found in Lala peel is known to have deep cleansing properties, for it helps decongest the pores and remove impurities and dead skin cells, giving you a smoother and younger skin appearance. Although the Lala peel is a moderate-level chemical peeling treatment, you must still undergo a face-to-face consultation with our board-certified doctor to ensure that your skin is compatible with the treatment. This process helps us determine if there are no present factors, like breastfeeding, chronic illnesses, and pregnancy, that may affect you and your well-being because, at AMOA640 Skin Clinic, we value your health above all else. Furthermore, the doctor will inform you if you may incorporate other facial treatments with the Lala peel and if your skin condition can take it. Some of the procedures you may combine with the Lala peel are G-wave, LDM, V-Ro lifting, and the Acne treatment package. You must note that all facial treatments at the clinic will require you to have a face-to-face consultation with our board-certified doctors beforehand.

Once you have the doctor’s approval for the treatment, our licensed technician will escort you to one of our treating rooms to prep your skin because skin prepping is a substantial procedure to ensure the product’s effectiveness. Moreover, we want to ensure that you have unclogged pores before applying the Lala peel. Then, the technician will apply the Lala peel onto your skin. Lastly, they will use post-treatment creams and sunscreen to help protect your skin from the sun.

Others

The Lala peel treatment is one of your to-go facial treatments on a monthly basis to treat stubborn acne and acne scars. It is one of the ultimate chemical peeling treatments because it does not thin out the skin and causes damage. Instead, it fills them up and serves as a temporary replacement. Unlike other harsh components found in other chemical peels that may potentially cause more damage than treatment, the Lala peel treatment is gentler and both water-soluble and fat-soluble, meaning it is slowly absorbed and incorporated into the skin once it penetrates. It also helps with irritation because it replaces the emptied lipids and acts as the replacement until the skin condition returns to normal. Thus, it is one of the perfect chemical peels for sensitive skin.

Additionally, due to its mild nature, you may even use it as maintenance to keep your skin fresh and well-taken care of, but please consult this with our doctor first to ensure your safety. You may do this at least three to five times spaced one to two weeks apart or depending on the doctor’s recommendation, or if you’d like, you may do it on a monthly basis for optimum results.

The treatment is most suitable for individuals suffering from mild to severe acne and acne scars, skin laxity issues, and excess sebum production, for it helps strengthen skin elasticity, barrier, and texture, while simultaneously controlling the sebum production and secretion. Although the Lala peel is mild and has clinically proven promising results, we only administer the treatment to consenting adults unless the doctor states otherwise.

If you’re one of the people who are tired of undergoing facial treatments that have proven ineffective, burdened with peeling procedures, and are alright with receiving complex treatment, you may want to consider the Lala peel in your options. After the treatment, you may experience mild stinging, bruising, swelling, and a tingling sensation, but it’s alright because it will immediately subside within a day or two. Moreover, it has little to no downtime. Thus, you may resume your day. However,  please ensure that you follow the aftercare procedure and skin protection for optimum healing and results.
